i saw an av(audio-visual) recently on TV channels ... its was about dogs... Indian dogs.. it seems there is hardly anyone to adopt an Indian dog...they spend their lives on the streets....no one to take care and one day dies...most people in India are crazy for anything foreign and that includes dogs also...most households who owns a dog in India are proud to have a foreign breed...they cant imagine bringing home an Indian dog...its not fashionable to have an Indian dog...may be they are not dogs at all ...may be they are filthy creatures who don't deserve a home like their foreign counterparts...the short presentation on TV i saw showed Indian dogs and at the end a voice appealed to adopt an Indian dog.height of helplessness.... appeals are being made in a country to adopt dogs of its own country...i wonder how many people woken up to the appeal and thought of adopting one...i don't think it made any difference to anyone...it makes me laugh and it makes me sad for the dogs whenever i see that advertisement on TV which keeps popping up in between commercial breaks....i hope it does some good to the poor dogs
